“A chance to take on a headship within a forward thinking federation, with support and challenge of an experienced Executive Headteacher”.
The ASPIRE federation was formed in September 2019 following a year of collaboration, to provide strong leadership and drive school improvement across four small village schools. Three of the schools have worked together for a number of years as the KULB federation.
We are seeking to appoint one head of school for Leeds and Broomfield C of E Primary School who will work closely with our Executive Headteacher and other heads of schools to provide leadership across the four schools within the ASPIRE federation. Three of the schools have all been rated good following significant improvement journeys, while the fourth is currently judged to be Requires Improvement and is improving rapidly.
We aim to provide an education that ensures children make excellent progress in environments where they are valued; are known as individuals; as the staff aim to ‘ASPIRE to inspire’. The values that lie at the centre of the federation are Kindness, Understanding, Patience, Honesty, Love, and Boldness.
The role of Head of School involves leadership and management of one school with responsibilities across the federation. The successful candidate will understand what it takes to be a good or outstanding school and have successful experience of driving change at pace. You will be an outstanding teacher with significant whole school responsibility. You will be successful in securing the highest standards of teaching and learning, implementing new systems, improving the use of data, building teams, developing staff, and strengthening accountability. The ability to work collaboratively, ensure consistency, and uphold the vision of the Executive Headteacher is essential.
Specific responsibilities will be assigned based on the skills and experience of the appointed candidates, likely covering development of teaching and learning, assessment, behavior and safety, and day-to-day management at Leeds and Broomfield C of E Primary School, plus responsibilities across the federation.
