We are looking to appoint an ambitious, friendly, confident, honest and highly capable experienced leader. An existing senior leader who can demonstrate our values, has significant senior leadership experience and skills, not necessarily from a special school background, and someone who can inspire and form strong positive relationships with colleagues. Someone who is solution focused, innovative and who can instigate sustainable systems and processes to facilitate more efficient and effective leadership at all levels. A colleague who believes in improving Communication, Independence and Achievement as a core purpose to support Autistic learners.
The successful candidate will :
• Have consistently outstanding practice with proven expertise in teaching, and experience of teaching pupils with autism
• Be an outstanding professional who is ambitious for the pupils, the school and themselves
• Have a thorough understand of the functions of behaviour
• Understand how Positive Behaviour Support can work effectively as a whole school tool used by all staff
• Be engaged in higher level continued professional learning and a willingness to complete a PBS qualification
• Acknowledge, mentor and promote the excellent practice of others
• Challenge staff to achieve their best
• Carry out whole school leadership roles
