This is an exciting new opportunity for a driven and energetic individual to join a well-established and friendly team at our Glasgow site. Using your administrative skills, you’ll become part of an enabling function within Marley, supporting the business toward its goals. You’ll achieve this by providing a payroll service which complies with Company policies and Government requirements. Your focus will include HR admin support to the MCS management team, managing all PAYE and subcontractor payments. In this role, you’ll take charge of processing and reconciling weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You’ll handle the submission of weekly EPS to HMRC and compile month-end payment schedules for both HMRC and pensions, reconciling nominal accounts along the way. You'll also manage tasks like booking and applying for CSCS tests and cards, processing starter, leaver, and employment change paperwork, and maintaining up-to-date training records on the Qualsys system. Additionally, you’ll oversee reference requests for new starters and completion documentation for existing employees. What skills are required? Previous experience working within a similar function will put you in a strong position to be successful in this role. We use Sage & Eque2 as our main tool for handling and using data. Any experience using this will be advantageous, but don’t worry if not, as training will also be given. You’ll need to be a confident communicator and love dealing with people at all levels and from all walks of life as you’ll liaise with colleagues, management, and clients daily.
