Role: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Potterspury, Northamptonshire
Hours: 37.5 per week (Term Time Only)
Salary: £19,702.05
We are looking to appoint committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join and support our well established and successful staff team at Potterspury Lodge School. This role is ideal for those who genuinely have a passion for helping children, with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, and also a fantastic opportunity for those considering a career in Teaching to gain valuable first-hand experience. Candidates who are appointed will receive full support and training from colleagues and teachers.
What are we looking for in you?
* Previous experience of working with young people in a classroom environment.
* You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Math and English, grade C/4 or above.
* Commitment to safeguarding children and good understanding of what this entails.
* Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities of the role.
* Experience of working with wide range of children including those with ASD/SEND.
* Understanding of principals of child development and learning processes

Cambian Potterspury Lodge School supports and educates students with Aspergers Syndrome and other associated challenges within the autistic spectrum, offering pupils aged 8–18 a differentiated, engaging and challenging curriculum. Our school is a 52-week residential provision which also provides day-student placements. Staff are highly experienced and trained in supporting young people with communication challenges and sensory needs, learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, and mood barriers including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD and Tourette's syndrome.
Potterspury Lodge School secured a “Good” Ofsted judgement for its education and residential provisions and has won a Regional Award for being “Team of the Year”.
