Responsibilities: As an Autism Teaching Assistant, you will: Support students with autism in one-on-one and small group settings. Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs. Implement strategies to help students overcome challenges and engage with their education. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages social and emotional development. Monitor and document students' progress, reporting to teachers and parents where required. Promote independence and confidence in students by building trusting relationships. Requirements: As an Autism Teaching Assistant, you should have: Previous experience working with children or young people with autism. A good understanding of autism spectrum disorders and related strategies for support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
