Who You Are You are a qualified and experienced Senior Social Worker with a strong background in mental health services, ideally with prior experience in crisis services or intensive case management for psychosis or bipolar disorder. You are capable of working on complex cases and possess excellent communication skills and a high standard of professional practice. You are knowledgeable about relevant legislation including the Equality Act 2010 and Care Act 2014, and have experience with statutory duties. You have the ability to supervise both qualified and non-qualified staff while contributing to the development of a strengths-based and relationship-centered practice model. You can provide a strong social work voice within a team and possess, or are willing to gain, experience as an Approved Mental Health Professional. What the Job Involves The role involves working within Bexley Intensive Case Management for Psychosis Team or Home Treatment Team where you will provide intensive support and crisis intervention to service users, promoting independent living and quality of life. Your key responsibilities include completing and updating risk assessments, practicing in accordance with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983, engaging in multidisciplinary collaboration, and demonstrating anti-discriminatory practice. You will develop support plans, carry out reviews and safeguarding procedures, and prepare reports for legal processes. For recently qualified or less experienced staff, there is an opportunity to gain further qualifications, such as the ASYE program or an AMHP certification. You will participate in or prepare for the Bexley-wide AMHP rota, and will help shape the growing practice model by promoting social work ethics and values within the team.
