Reporting to the Operational Infrastructure Manager, you will be joining a multi-skilled department, to work with the main Server, Network, EU Device, and Telephony architects and implementation teams, focusing on the design and implementation of the network infrastructure and devices.

Main duties of the job
Trust-wide responsibility for the network structure, including designing, implementation, and documentation for any changes across the trust network structure.
To help make decisions on which network products the trust will use and how they are implemented across the trust.
To provide trust-wide oversight of all changes being made, accountability for those changes, and the remediation work if required.
Trust-wide responsibility focused on the Cisco software suite and how this affects clinical and non-clinical systems and devices across the trust's technical estate.
Responsible for the trust-wide design, implementation, and documentation of various Cisco technologies, with a focus on Cisco ISE.
Responsible for developing the future position, direction, and integration of the Trust's digital end-user communications requirements.

Job responsibilities
Trust-wide responsibility for network and end-user communications future planning and strategic decisions.
To support the implementation of Cisco ISE and align with the trust's Senior Security Network Architect.
To support the future planning of the trust WLAN and LAN of main sites and community sites.
Active leadership role in the replacement, upgrade, and decisions in the future of the trust's end-user communication technology.
To head up and run technical workgroups that would enhance Network and Telephony.
Line management of architects and engineers who share the responsibility of the end-user telephony direction and technologies.
Person Specification
Qualifications / Professional Registration
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience plus additional specialist knowledge and expertise in network LAN/WAN/Wifi/DC/security.
* Network security qualification.
* Switching/Routing, Wifi or DC Certification.
Experience and knowledge
* Substantial experience working in a network or network-security role in an enterprise or large organisation.
* WLCs.
* Switches, routers, Wifi APs.
* MPLS technology.
* An alerting application (LogicMonitor or Solarwinds).
* Project management procedures and techniques.
* HPE Aruba networks including Clearpass.
* Aruba Central.
