We are looking for a Concierge to support our Care & Independent Living team here at Southern Housing Based out our Bentham house scheme in London, SE3, this role will ensure that the building is secure and the residents and visitors are safe at all times. You will provide customer-focused assistance and support to residents and visitors using public areas of the building and communal facilities. Some responsibilities will include: Ensuring that a high quality of customer service is provided at all times, in response to enquiries in person, by phone, letter or e-mail in line with Southern Housings values and standards. Providing a welcoming and informative reception service for visitors to the building. Monitoring CCTV and carry out patrols of internal and external communal areas to ensure that the buildings and residents are secure and safe and that fire exit routes are clear. Responding to security system/fire alarms and incidents in line with agreed procedures and liaise with emergency services and the Out-of-hours Manager where needed. Managing bookings/reservations for the commercial spaces and communal facilities, ensuring they are clean, tidy and ready to hire, and that IT and any other equipment is working and available - and explained or demonstrated to hirers as required. What youll need: Knowledge and experience of providing security in a residential building. Knowledge of security systems and protocols Knowledge of fire, health and safety in relation to people and property Experience of working in a customer facing role.
