Location: Wakefield, Yorkshire (Remote/Office/Site-Based)
Salary: 40,000 - 60,000 + Package

My client is a leading principal contractor based in Wakefield, specialising in M&E, Project Management, and Shopfitting services. They partner with major retail clients such as Greggs, ASDA, Selfridges, and Morrisons, delivering top-quality shopfitting and refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with shopfitting experience to join the team and help manage upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the commercial aspects of shopfitting projects, from cost planning and estimating to final accounts.
* Prepare, negotiate, and analyse tenders, contracts, and variations.
* Monitor budgets, forecast costs, and ensure projects stay on track financially.
* Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers to ensure cost-efficient delivery.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the shopfitting sector is essential.
* Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project budgeting.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (e.g., RICS, HNC).
* Full UK driving license.
Working Arrangements:
* Flexible working options: Work remotely, from the office, or on-site as needed.
* Must be based within Yorkshire, with occasional travel to the Wakefield office and project sites.
