We are seeking an experienced construction and engineering professional with a strong academic background to lead our postgraduate programmes in Engineering Management and Construction Project Management. Candidates from both academia and industry are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching, ensuring an exceptional student learning experience. They will engage in impactful research and knowledge exchange activities that contribute to advancements in engineering and construction project management.
A key aspect of the role is leading academic accreditation processes with professional bodies in engineering, construction, and project management. Experience in accreditation and professional chartered membership (e.g., ICE, CIOB, APM) is highly desirable.

Job Title: Senior Lecturer in Engineering and Construction Management

Job Purpose:
* Provide academic leadership in engineering and construction management, driving excellence in teaching, research, and industry engagement.
* Deliver outstanding, research-informed teaching and learning experiences, fostering student success and industry readiness while contributing to impactful research and knowledge exchange.
* Lead and undertake professional accreditation, curriculum development, professional practice, enterprise activity, research and other forms of scholarly activity, contributing to the wider work of the School or wider University
* Practice an inclusive approach and support building an inclusive university community where people can be themselves
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Research and Knowledge Exchange:
* Conduct effective research and scholarly activity, generate income and align own research with teaching and learning to generate excelled student outcomes.
* Collaborate and engage with relevant business and professional networks to promote teaching and learning and research in a professional context.
* Engage in effective doctoral supervision and develop early career research.
* Contribute significantly to knowledge through refereed conference outputs and peer-reviewed (non-conference) outputs.
* Embed research within teaching and curriculum and contribute to research impact and student outcomes.
* Contribute to the leadership of an inclusive and interdisciplinary research culture.
* Undertake collaborative research with external partners, communities, professional bodies and/or employers.
Learning, Teaching & Scholarship:
* Undertake research-informed teaching in the subject discipline managing all aspects of curriculum delivery, development, and quality.
