What you’ll do:
The Senior Production Planner will be responsible for creating and maintaining an effective production schedule that ensures customer requirements are met wherever possible. The Production Planner will be comfortable and capable of operating in a complex, fast-paced, make-to-order, and make-to-stock manufacturing environment with the ability to work independently or as part of a team using your own initiative to make decisions.
1. Lead the Worksop production planning process
2. Prepare key SCM figures for reporting and make them available on time, as well as derive and implement measures from them
3. Participate in S&OE meetings and integrate flexible changes in a coordinated manner into the production plan
4. Monitor, coordinate and further develop standardization of production planning
5. Conduct evaluations and analyses
6. Enter, process, and schedule all manual/EDI purchase orders into SAP
7. Create and maintain production orders in line with demand, material availability, labor capacity, and production constraints
8. Create daily and weekly schedules for both assembly and component production areas meeting customer demand
9. Communicate customer requirements to all applicable stakeholders
10. Analyze and provide necessary follow-up to the customer’s requirements on short & long term orders
11. Support Department metrics and other key performance indicators as assigned such as on time to promise and request etc.
12. Perform activities according to the Quality and Environmental policies established by the business
13. Apply the Safety and Environment principles and methodology to prevent accidents
14. Maintain MRP planning parameters to optimize planning efficiency
15. Upload forecast data into SAP on a monthly basis
16. Expedite products through component production departments and assembly cells
17. Develop & maintain close working relationships with purchasing to ensure continuity of parts supply
Qualifications:
Relevant degree
Skills:
Previous experience in Supply Chain with a track record of delivering high performance results
Excellent IT ability especially in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office
Experience of order scheduling / production planning in line with capacity plans
