An exciting opportunity has become available for three motivated Administration and Operational Support Officers in the Intermediate Care Allocation Team (ICAT). ICAT, Intensive Home Support Service (IHSS) and the District Nursing Service (DNs) deliver services across Pennine Lancashire to provide a rapid response service to patients experiencing an acute or subacute episode of illness within their own homes/ ordinary place of residence.
The post holder will provide professional & efficient administration and data analysing duties for the service.
The post holder will have an understanding of databases and inputting of referral data, pro-active and responsive operational support and administrative assistance as required to the IHSS, the IHSS Operational Manager, Clinical Lead, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, ICAT Manager, ICAT clinical & Social Work team and DNs.
The post holder will maintain effective and efficient processes and systems in order to provide, facilitate and co-ordinate the inputting of referral activity and related administrative functions across the service. They will support working practices to provide a responsive service and effectively manage work load activity to meet timescales required for reporting and processing information.
The ICAT, IHSS & DNs operational hours are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Main duties of the job
* To provide pro-active and responsive operational support to the ICAT Team, ICAT Manager, IHSS Team, IHSS Clinical Lead, District Nurses and Integrated Teams.
* Daily inputting of data from hard copy onto appropriate electronic system with speed and accuracy.
* To competently use electronic information systems to ensure data is protected against inappropriate use and patient confidentiality is protected at all times.
* To contribute to the productivity and reporting process and commit to act positively on feedback.
* A good telephone manner when receiving referrals from GPs, Social Services, Hospital Wards and wider Community Services.
* Ensure accurate information is recorded on the Liquid Logic System for Social Services.
* Respond to queries and requests for information in a timely and responsive manner within remit of knowledge and role.
* Work within limits of own competence and responsibility, referring issues beyond limits to qualified team members.
* Utilise EMIS, Liquid Logic, CERNER, ICE, LAS, STRATA & email referrals and any other electronic systems to record team activity and patient activity in line with deadlines set.

Essential criteria
* GSCE Maths & English 7-4
Experience
Essential criteria
* Proven ability to work on own initiative without close supervision, whilst working as part of an integrated team
* ECDL or equivalent experience in an office/referral hub environment
* IT skills including experience in the use of Microsoft Excel.
* Evidence of previous experience of data inputting over an extensive period
Desirable criteria
* Previous Experience of Liquid Logic System and EMIS
