Role: HR Business Support Officer
Type: 2-3 months contract
Salary: £18-£23 per hour
Fully Remote (Required on-site just for training)
Location: Bristol
Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a HR Business Support Officer for our Public Sector client.
Key responsibilities for the HR Business Support Officer are;
· Budget & Project Coordination: Manage HR and Workforce budget administration and contribute to special projects like facility moves or tech rollouts
· Data Management & Reporting: Develop and maintain spreadsheets and systems to support HR compliance and reporting needs
· HR Operations Support: Provide advice and resolve complex internal and external HR issues, ensuring alignment with council policies and service standards
· Contract Compliance & Monitoring: Support procurement processes by ensuring contract providers submit quality data and KPIs through the Procurement Portal
· Team Leadership & Oversight: Line manage the HR Support Assistant and guide colleagues to align with BCC's strategic HR priorities.
The Ideal candidate for the HR Business Support Officer will have;
· Strong knowledge of HR policies, systems, and relevant legislation (e.g. financial regulations, income collection)
· Proven experience managing budgets, projects, and resolving complex operational issues
· Skilled in data manipulation, reporting tools, and confident with digital systems
· Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship management abilities
· Leadership capability with experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
