With a senior role within the organisation holding specialist knowledge and skills in Information Technology (IT), the Digital Midwife will represent maternity on behalf of George Eliot Hospital. The post holder will have the ability to establish good team relationships and collaboration within George Eliot Hospital with internal colleagues and local maternity and Neonatal systems. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with knowledge of maternity digital systems to support the ongoing digital platform within our maternity and wider perinatal services and lead on service changes including introduction of any new EPR systems in Perinatal services. The maternity digital lead will support the digital agenda alongside our team of senior leaders, midwives, and obstetricians, IT and Digital teams to support the digital agenda within the Better Births and Three year delivery plan. The digital midwife will work in collaboration with the senior Perinatal leadership team, clinical leads and Directorate management to design, plan and deliver the digital strategy, facilitating and implementing change within Maternity Services including ensuring compliance with appropriate national standards. The successful candidate will be an ambassador for the Trust being able to manage a challenge, supporting all levels of staff during the implementation of new systems and the maintenance of existing ones. The post holder will also, ensure that the current maternity IT system functionality is adhered to and maintained. The successful candidates will need to have excellent IT knowledge and skill base of both midwifery clinical practice and the digital agenda.
