Play an important part in our journey
As Warehouse Team Manager, you’ll work as part of a team responsible for managing the Warehouse Operations at our new Worcester depot and most importantly… the people! You’ll really ‘get’ the value in recognizing good work in the team and making sure they are motivated will be your priority! You’ll lead the team putting safety at the forefront and working towards shared goals of delivering the best service!
Key Responsibilities:
* Coaching the team ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
* Communicating openly and consistently, delivering key messages to the team at the right time.
* Manage the storage, organization, and inventory of goods, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
* Monitor safety protocols, conducting regular safety training and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
* Optimise warehouse processes to increase productivity and reduce waste, ensuring operational efficiency.
* Oversee the receiving, inspection, and storing of incoming goods, and coordinate accurate picking, packing, and timely shipping of orders.
* Resolve operational issues such as inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, or delays, working closely with other departments.
* Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory, manage orders, and monitor performance.
* Help manage budgets, including labour, equipment maintenance, and other operational expenses.
* Report on warehouse performance, inventory status, and staffing, providing regular updates to upper management.
* Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding orders to standard, resolving customer-related issues when needed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in warehouse management and operations.
* Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff whilst role modelling our Bidfood behavioural standards.
* In-depth knowledge of inventory management and warehouse systems (WMS).
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
* A solid understanding of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A proactive approach to process improvement and continuous learning.
