Location: Lewis Citizens Advice Bureau, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
Hours per week: 21 hours per week
Type of contract: Permanent contract
Salary: £26,130 (pro-rata) per annum + £2,742 (pro-rata) Island Allowance + 6% pension contribution

We are seeking to appoint a solid team player with excellent IT and communication skills to be a diligent and empathetic member of our Money Advice team within the CAB service.
As a Money Adviser you will be providing advice and assistance to individuals throughout the Western Isles, including help with banking, budgeting, credit issues and debt. Debt issues can be complex and you will be liaising with creditors, collection agencies and solicitors on behalf of clients.
Advice will be provided via in person appointments in the bureau, telephone, email and occasional home visits.
A crucial part of the role is achieving and maintaining full accreditation as a Money Adviser (if not already achieved) to enable you to meet the quality standards of Money Advice in Scotland as you advise on, and facilitate, Scottish debt options. Full training will be provided which will be mainly in the form of e-learning modules and online classroom sessions.
A full driving licence is essential with access to a car as some travel may be necessary.
