Compliance Manager (Insurance)
Location: Dudley - Hybrid
Salary: £55,000 DOE
Type: Permanent
Working closely with the Head of Risk & Compliance, you will support the delivery of the departmental business plan in line with the company strategy, by leading the Risk and Compliance team to achieve departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Building effective relationships within the business to ensure that an effective compliance culture is in place, promoting positive engagement and behaviours.
2. Development and enhancement of compliance processes in accordance with market practice to meet regulatory expectations, setting up and monitoring adequate and appropriate systems and controls.
3. Leading on the development, implementation and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
4. Providing sound compliance advice to business stakeholders and escalating material compliance issues to the Head of Risk & Compliance.
5. Motivating your department to perform their duties to the highest level, achieving company KPIs and objectives.
6. Managing line management responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
1. Background working in an insurance environment, preferably for an MGA or Broker dealing with delegated underwriting authorities.
2. Demonstrable experience working in a compliance or conduct role.
3. Good knowledge of FCA Rules and Regulations.
4. A proactive 'can do' and flexible attitude, with the ability to recognize priorities at short notice.
5. Champions the compliance culture and adherence to FCA principles.
6. Experience in people management, driving staff to achieve targets and goals.
7. Ability to manage change effectively.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to an intermediate level.
9. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to build successful relationships with stakeholders.
11. Takes responsibility for own development and ability to innovate and improve processes.
12. Excellent organization, verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
13. Excellent judgement and decision-making abilities.
14. Ability to use initiative and work well under pressure.
15. Experience in analyzing management information and presenting information/training effectively.
