What's The Role About?
Due to an exciting period of expansion, we are looking for an Employment Law & HR Consultant to join our high-quality, pragmatic and innovative Employment Law and HR Advisory team to support our offering of Employment Law and Litigation services to our clients through a diverse range of experience, expertise, and approaches.
You will advise on both contentious and non-contentious matters, supporting the Employment Law & HR advisory team, leading on more complex matters whilst being responsible for your own litigation case load.
If you have a legal background or you are a HR professional or non-practicing solicitor, barrister, CILEX, or a law degree graduate and/or anyone who has undertaken the LPC, PGDL and/ or the Bar course, get in touch with us to discuss how your experience can transfer to providing robust, commercial employment law advice to clients.
Day to day you will:
Have responsibility for your own litigation case load.
Engage with school clients to develop long-lasting relationships and provide innovative legal solutions tailored to their needs.
Proven track record of working independently with responsibility for providing clients with practical, pragmatic and solution-focused employment law and HR advice in complex situations.
Lead on advice on all aspects of employee relations across the employee lifecycle, as well as attending meetings and hearings to advise decision makers, and undertake disciplinary/grievance investigations as an outsourced Investigating Officer.
Experience or willingness to present and own client training virtually and in-person.
Working to meeting deadlines and ability to research and manage advice from a variety of sources.

What Can You Bring To The Role?
If you can demonstrate the following, we’d love to hear from you:
A qualified employment solicitor / litigator with a proven track record within employment litigation and settlement negotiation.
Excellent working knowledge of employment law and procedure.
The ability to run a Respondent caseload with excellent client care skills.
Clear and concise communicator, capable of producing written content to a professional quality.
Strong interpersonal skills, including strategic influencing/negotiation skills with the ability to relate to and communicate effectively with people at all levels, manage differing expectations of all stakeholders.
Experienced in strong customer service and communication skills and high-level problem-solving skills.
Ability and willingness to undertake continuing professional development training and unique HR and employment law frameworks associated within the education sector.
Previous experience in a similar role within the education sector is desirable but not essential.
