Location: Hybrid - 2 days home work, 3 days office based (Bridgehead Business Park, Hessle)
Hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Role Overview
Parallel is a fast-paced scale up with the backing of parent company Sewell Group. The business supports public sector clients across the UK to make decisions about their services, estates and budgets through the delivery of market leading web applications and data visualisation tools, including SHAPE (Strategic Health Asset Planning and Evaluation).
To support growing client demands and an expanding product range, Parallel is looking to grow its developer team and take the business to the next level.
The Graduate/Junior Developer will join a small but growing software development team to deliver a series of pipeline projects for NHS clients, to modernise technology platforms to enhance existing products and help take the business forward with new products and service offers.
We are seeking a Graduate/Junior Developer to support across various projects whilst being the first point of contact for client enquiries within our SHAPE application. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining and updating datasets within the SHAPE platform that is used by over 10,000 users.

Requirements
* Recently qualified Graduate with degree in computer science, software development or related subject
* Experience of working with backend SQL coding for ideally MS SQL database
* Experience of developing in .NET (C#, ASP, VB) or PHP and frameworks (ideally Laravel)
* The ability to work across multiple applications and projects, in a fast paced, outputs focused environment
* Possess a positive approach to problem solving
* Excellent customer service, listening and communication skills
* Have effective and efficient time management skills
* Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly, meet set deadlines and work with multiple ongoing tasks
* The ability to work as a team member in a busy working environment, but also to work independently without supervision
* A passion for data and software
* Awareness of the importance of confidentiality
* Have good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Knowledge on SaaS Business Model
* Knowledge on designing and best practices
* Ability to use software such as Figma or Adobe XD
