Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, has secured several exciting substation, overhead line, and subsea cable route projects across the North of Scotland for their key client, SSEN. As part of this initiative, they are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Agent to join their team, starting with the critical substation project in Beauly.
This high-profile initiative will play a vital role in enhancing the UK's electrical infrastructure, making this an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to leave their mark.
Your Responsibilities
Site Operations Management: Lead site operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Project Planning: Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and methodologies.
Team Coordination: Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Sub Agents, and site teams to streamline workflows.
Subcontractor & Supplier Oversight: Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality standards.
Health, Safety, & Environment: Enforce HSE policies, ensuring the safety of all personnel and the environment.
Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones, addressing challenges proactively.
Communication: Act as the communication link between site teams, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring smooth project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience: Proven track record as a Site Agent or in a similar senior supervisory role, preferably within large-scale infrastructure projects.
Technical Expertise:
Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and project management.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
Leadership: Strong organisational and leadership skills to manage diverse teams.
Certifications: Valid CSCS card and relevant health and safety qualifications.
Multitasking Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure effectively.
