Help us shape the future of youth and community work in East Lancashire. We're recruiting a Community Programmes Coordinator for Youth & Community to join our passionate and growing team at Newground Together, during an exciting phase. We are about to launch the brand-new Shadsworth Youth Hub, a purpose-built space created with and for local young people and their families. This dynamic, inclusive hub aims to be a vibrant community center, providing opportunities to learn, connect, and thrive.
As Community Programmes Coordinator, you will lead impactful youth and community programs across three key sites: The Shadsworth Youth Hub (including your office), The Shadsworth Community Hub, and the Greensleeves Community Allotment, a green space for sustainable activities. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful programs, develop a strong team, and influence community engagement strategies.

Requirements
What You'll Be Doing: Leading a dedicated team and developing programs that meet local needs. Key responsibilities include:
* People Leadership & Team Development: Support and develop a multidisciplinary team; promote an inclusive culture; ensure staff wellbeing and safeguarding.
* Programme Management & Delivery: Plan and oversee youth and community programs; ensure services are high-quality and inclusive; embed continuous improvement.
* Partnerships & Community Engagement: Build collaborations with schools, community groups, funders, and agencies; represent Newground in networks; co-design services.
* Financial & Operational Oversight: Manage budgets; contribute to funding bids; oversee premises and safety.
* Performance Monitoring & Strategic Input: Lead reporting and evaluation; contribute to strategic planning; address gaps and underperformance.
Ideal Candidate: Experienced in youth work or community development, with team management skills, a commitment to inclusion, excellent communication, budget management experience, a flexible approach, and a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle. Relevant qualifications are required.
