Rosneath Peninsula
Flexible rural salaried GP opportunity - annualised bespoke contract
£98,238 - £110,736 Pro Rata Per Annum
What's so special about a job in an Argyll & Bute Medical Practice?
Just the fabulous friendly team, the supportive community & the outstanding scenery!
Based in one, or on rotation between our 2 HSCP practices situated in Kilcreggan and Garelochhead. Work pattern could be either regular - e.g. one week per month - or entirely flexible.
This would be a perfect opportunity for those who may wish to retain family base elsewhere, undertake travel, expedition opportunities or study. This position could be easily adapted to fit in a portfolio role.
Both practices on the Rosneath Peninsula, in Lomond, are off the beaten track but easily accessible - including by daily commute - from Glasgow.
All practices are small and friendly, experienced teams in welcoming communities. The workload is gentle in comparison to our urban neighbours but there is plenty to do and we encourage prevention activity and patient centred quality improvement work. You will have excellent admin, and nursing colleagues.
Superannuation, employment rights and regular income as well as a high degree of flexibility in your own annualised contract with a minimum requirement equivalent to 2 sessions per week and the opportunity to work more than contracted hours also.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
