Job overview
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Radiographer to join the team. (Experience in cardiac radiography is not essential). Training is central to the ethos of the Heart Centre, so that all staff, including radiographic staff, can contribute to the award-winning care we provide the patients of Lincolnshire.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with other members of the Cardiac and Interventional teams to deliver a high quality of care to all patients.
Main duties of the job
* To be competent in all Cardiac Catheterisation and Interventional Radiology procedures as well as other specialised areas of radiography and help deliver an effective radiographic service within those specialised areas of the department.
* Support Cardiac Catheterisation on call rota to provide Primary Percutaneous Coronary and Intervention Radiology service.
Person specification
* Current HCPC registration
* BSC Hon or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography
* Cardiac Catherisation experience
* Evidence of short/specialist courses or experience
* Demonstrable experience in Radiography or equivalent specialist experience
* Evidence of post graduate studies
* PCI experience
* Qualified or willing to train to perform intra – venous contrast injections when required
Previous Experience
* Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterisation experience
* Rotational experience through specialist radiography areas.
* Preceptorship or equivalent experience. Evidence of CPD activity, reflective learning. Supervision of staff, mentoring of students
* Proven experience as a clinical radiographer
* Cardiac Catheter Laboratory PCI Experience

* Punctual, good time management
* Professional appearance
* Willingness to work flexibly including unsocial hours, long shifts and On-call participation
* There will be a requirement to work 7 days.
* Full UK driving Licence
Further Training
* Commitment to undertake ALL training requirements of the post (inc audit)
* A commitment to expand and develop their core knowledge by post graduate education and using evidence-based practice
* Attend at professional lectures, study days and workshops
