REQUIREMENT ESSENTIAL Education/ Qualifications Recognised Physiotherapy Degree Qualification and Registered Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) Health Care Professions Council Licence to Practice Evidence of CPD including attendance of post graduate short courses relevant to paediatric physiotherapy Experience Experience within NHS of post graduate level of working in the following fields: orthopaedics, outpatients, respiratory, neurology, paediatrics Experience at a postgraduate level: assessment treatment and management of children Writing clinical notes and reports Managing own caseload Experience of working and teaching other professionals / parents / carers Working at part of an MDT Skills and Knowledge Well established knowledge of Assessment, treatment and management of children The role of the physiotherapist in the Education system. Standards of record keeping and reporting. Range of appropriate therapeutic interventions and equipment relevant to CYP Awareness of the differences of a Paediatric versus adult caseload Good written and spoken English Excellent interpersonal skills: including observation, listening and empathy skills Good organisational skills and to prioritise own workload. Ability to communicate effectively with children and young people of all ages and abilities.
