This is a full-time teaching position, requiring a dedicated professional who can effectively plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the curriculum while meeting the individual needs of each pupil. Key responsibilities include: Lesson Planning and Delivery : Craft engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to a variety of abilities and learning styles, ensuring every child is challenged and supported. Assessment and Feedback : Mark assessments, provide constructive feedback, and track pupil progress in line with school policies and expectations. Classroom Management : Implement positive and effective behaviour management strategies to create a calm and focused learning environment. Year 2 SATs Preparation : Support pupils in preparing for Year 2 SATs by developing targeted intervention plans to meet individual and group learning needs. Collaboration with Colleagues : Work alongside teaching assistants and other staff to ensure that all children are fully engaged and supported in their learning journey. Parent and Staff Communication : Build positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on pupil progress, and attend parents' evenings and school meetings. To be successful in this role, you will need: A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and Year 2 SATs requirements. The ability to plan engaging and creative lessons that inspire a love for learning. Effective behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive, structured classroom environment. Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) – although ECTs with relevant experience are encouraged to apply. A track record of excellent references, with at least two references from recent schools. A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to helping children transition successfully into Key Stage 2.
