Working Hours : 35 hours Location: Birmingham (On Campus) Contract Type: Permanent We are looking to recruit a Senior Student Information Officer to join our Student Information team working at our Birmingham Campus five days per week. This is a fantastic opportunity to enter a well-established and respected department. As a Senior Student Information Officer, you will be working as part of the Student Information team providing exceptional customer service to students and staff across all programmes. You will also act as first point of contact, providing general information on a range of non-academic queries and supporting to ensure students have a positive experience whilst at the University. You have previous experience of providing information, advice, and guidance on a one-to-one basis, in a busy office environment. We are looking for an individual with a positive working attitude, who can handle sensitive matters with confidence and discretion. Your Responsibilities Respond to enquiries through all communication channels, including face to face, phone, email, live chat, and social media. Provide information and support on a range of enquiries including those relating to new students transitioning to the campus and/or a new course, assessments, timetabling, print services, and more. Contribute to the planning and delivery of induction and enrolment activities. Lead the delivery of welcome events for incoming students (face to face and/or online). Staff the Student Information desk on a rota basis as directed by the Student Information Hub Manager ensuring that sufficient cover is provided at all times. Work with the wider operational teams within the University to ensure that a first-class service is provided to all customers. Required Skills and Attributes Relevant experience in the provision of high-quality customer service. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to manage own time effectively to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities. A polite, helpful, and positive attitude. Able to deal calmly with difficult situations.
