Axcis Education is looking for an experienced teaching assistant to work in a 1:1 capacity with a child who can display challenging behaviour and has complex needs. The role is also to support in the student's class. Experience working with children with special educational needs and challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential.
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 3:30. The rate of pay for this position is £85-100 a day, depending on your previous experience. The position is to start after the October Half Term and will initially be on a supply basis.
A child-centred education is at the heart of the school’s curriculum. The school has built themes related to science and the environment and has implemented a ‘hands-on’ community approach to learning. The school endeavours to build upon the individual interests of every child, providing opportunities to develop self-confidence, self-esteem, and independence.
Your role as a 1:1 teaching assistant will involve establishing outstanding relationships with the children you will be working closely with on a day-to-day basis. You must have a positive attitude and a drive to support children with autism (ASD). You will show a willingness to learn new strategies to support children with autism (ASD) and children with additional needs.
Additionally, the successful candidate will show enthusiasm to establish themselves within the school, offering a flexible approach to support the school in a variety of different roles. Axcis pays weekly, every Friday.
