Job Profile
Due to growth, an experienced Claims Technician is required to join a Subsidence Team where you will provide technical building claims solutions and support to surveyors and the claims management team.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
* Communicating with customers, contractors, and insurer clients via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
* Managing third-party companies to facilitate vegetation removal and drain repairs to mitigate subsidence damage.
* Updating and creating building repair scopes using in-house schedules of rates.
* Negotiating cash settlements for repairs with policyholders.
* Managing panel contractors, overseeing repair schedules and costs.
* Settling claims under delegated authority.
* Possessing previous subsidence/building insurance claims experience, extensive trade experience (5+ years), or being a graduate building surveyor.
* Demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Providing high standards of customer service.
* Being computer literate with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Thriving in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
* Having a positive attitude, flexibility, self-motivation, and being a team player.
* Paying attention to detail and capable of assessing and resolving problems effectively.
Salary & Benefits
* Up to £30,000 per annum.
