Job Title: Business Support - Carlisle
Reports to: Business Manager
Job Purpose: As a Business Support Specialist, your primary role will be to provide exceptional support to our Commercial Department. You will liaise effectively with customers and stakeholders, ensuring they receive accurate and regular updates on the progress of their services. Your role will also involve completing relevant administrative tasks to support our commercial contracts.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Provide effective administrative assistance to all customers and stakeholders, supporting the Contracts & Business needs.
* Maintain high-quality communication with all customer and stakeholder interfaces, updating them on service progress and providing requested information.
* Attend customer meetings punctually, providing accurate reports and minutes.
* Offer positive and professional support for planning and preparation of customer and stakeholder events.
* Liaise with operations and engineering to ensure efficient service delivery.
* Collate customer claims and submit them to Network Rail promptly.
* Coordinate with Finance to provide timely invoice details.
* Administer all commercial documents on the BMS system professionally.
* Support dispute resolution processes proficiently.
* Administer commercial regulations and account development systematically.
* Support other sectors of the Commercial team as needed, covering for absences.
* Collaborate with internal departments to develop and deliver sales opportunities efficiently.
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within teams and the Division, fostering a culture of respect.
* Embed NTS cultural principles of freedom, helpfulness, and drive in all activities.
General & Regulatory Responsibilities:
* Comply with the Official Secrets Act 1911 and 1989.
* Adhere to all Company Rules, Standards, and Procedures, including those related to security, safety, and training.

* Perform other reasonable duties as required, in line with your skills, abilities, and grade.
