Our amazing #TeamCraigewan in Peterhead are on the lookout for a caring, understanding and patient female colleague to join them as a Waking Night Support Practitioner on a permanent part-time (10 hours per week) basis.
This post will involve working a one waking night shift per week. Waking nights are paid at your normal hourly rate plus an agreed standard waking night payment of £20 per waking night shift worked.
The Role
Based in Peterhead, Craigewan is a purpose-built facility which is home to 11 individuals with learning disabilities, all living in their own self-contained flats. As part of our Waking Night team, your main aim will be to ensure that the individuals we support have access to assistance during the night if needed. In addition to providing support, your responsibilities will include maintaining a high level of cleanliness, ironing, health & safety checks, managing finances, and providing administrative support.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferable skills and will give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even put you through your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too!

Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support tailored to the needs of each individual, your shift pattern would be one waking night shift per week between the hours of 2130-0800 hours and will include weekends on a rotational basis.
Although this is a waking night post, we will need you to have the flexibility to attend mandatory training and spend time getting to know the people we support during the day. However, we will give you advanced notice of the dates and times.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
