Full-Time, Long-Term Role | Starting After Easter | £90-£100 per day
CERT Solutions are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harborne. This is a full-time, long-term position, starting after Easter, offering a daily rate of £90-£100.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Provide strong behaviour management and de-escalation techniques to help maintain a positive learning environment.
* Assist students in their GCSE preparation, supporting them across the Key Stage 4 curriculum.
* Work closely with teaching staff to develop tailored strategies for individual students.
* Build rapport with students, encouraging their personal and academic development.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working within a PRU or similar setting, dealing with challenging behaviour.
* Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 4 curriculum and GCSEs.
* Proven experience in behaviour management and using de-escalation techniques.
* Excellent patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with young people in a calm and supportive manner.
* Relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g., Level 3 or equivalent).
* Ability to commit to a full-time role and be an active, consistent presence for students.
