To successful candidate will supervise others in the workplace by working within the guidelines set out by Blaenau Gwent Catering Services to ensure the correct performance standards are achieved.
The successful candidate will be working under the supervision of the Assistant Team Leader/Manager in providing the catering service and observing all food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
The purpose of the role of Peripatetic Cook is to provide the Catering service at various sites throughout the authority.

An opportunity has arisen within the Regeneration and Community Services Directorate for a Peripatetic Cook to work under the supervision of the Assisting Team Leader in the production of the School Meals Catering service, observing all food hygiene and health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will undertake the full range of Cook’s duties in the absence of the Cook to include all administrative duties and procedures.
The postholder could be asked to cover long or short-term absences within Blaenau Gwent School Meals Services.
The successful candidate will possess a City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or NVQ Level 1/2 in Catering and a Food Safety Level 2 & 3 Certificates. You will have experience of working within the Catering Industry with practical catering skills.
