Teledyne Controls Repair facility has been established in Scotland since 1994. The commercial aviation repair business demands support and repairs for all new products for a 15-20 year period.

As part of the onboarding process and personal development, the successful candidate will undergo technical training with existing technicians and managers to help build their understanding of the Teledyne Control products.
What you'll be involved with:
Under limited supervision, perform aftermarket Electronic/Electric and Mechanical repair of assorted components and instruments by way of testing and troubleshooting to determine cause of failure of product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
* Test and troubleshoot products, equipment and circuitry, including functional, operational, and environmental testing.
* Analyse and interpret test data for component level and system level repair.
* Enter data and provide written reports on test and troubleshoot findings.
* Read and follow relevant schematic drawings.
What we're looking for in you:
* Degree/HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Basic mechanical and electronics experience, with an emphasis on electronic skills.
* Knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques.
* Experience testing electronic assemblies using traditional tooling, such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, etc.
* Experience using a variety of hand tools and machine shop tools, and equipment such as soldering iron, hand drill etc.
* Basic MS Office skills including ability to open and create files in Word, create and manipulate data in Excel and use E-mail and calendars in Outlook.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow written and verbal procedures, instructions, and read schematics.
* Able to deal with frequent change, delays, unexpected events or ambiguity, and capable of multi-tasking to accomplish repair activities to completion.
* Excellent analytical skills and sound judgment to ensure error-free repairs.
* Experience of repairing, testing, fault finding on devices such as mobile phones, televisions, set-top boxes, computers etc. would suit this role well.
The role requires shift working which comprises of 2 weeks dayshift/2 weeks backshift, working 37 hours per week. Shift hours are:
Dayshift: 7:00hrs-15:15hrs Mon-Thurs, 7:00hrs-13:30hrs Fri.
Backshift: 15:00hrs-23:15hrs Mon-Thurs, 13:15hrs-19:45hrs Fri.
