Our support workers are responsible for providing care and support to young people who are living in our residential homes. Duties and requirements of this role include, but are not limited to:
* Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people
* Providing a nurturing and stable environment for children who may have experienced instability and disruptions in their lives
* Encouraging the development of social skills and positive relationships among the children in their care
* Helping with day-to-day tasks such as homework and household chores
* Collaborating with other professionals, such as social workers and therapists, to provide the best possible care for young people
* Ensuring that the residential care setting is clean, safe, and appropriate for young people’s needs.
As a support worker, you will have a vital role in providing care, support, and guidance to vulnerable children and young people. It requires a great deal of compassion, patience, and empathy, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
