We are recruiting for a Transport Clerk to work at our Erith site (DA18 4AF). The role offers a salary of £30,761 based on a 40-hour contract, working a Monday to Friday shift pattern. The start times can vary between 06:00 and 10:30 am based on the needs of the business, so there is a need for flexibility.
The role:
Working within a busy team, the successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to ensure Yusen provides a first-class service to our customers. They will coordinate customer deliveries and will liaise with drivers in a prompt and efficient manner, always maintaining excellent communication.

Key tasks:
1. Co-ordinate customer deliveries and liaise with drivers in a prompt and efficient manner, ensuring that customer requests are achieved.
2. Ensure that any issues with meeting expectations are communicated both within Yusen Logistics and to the customer.
3. Establish and maintain good customer relationships, acting as the key customer contact for order requests and processing.
4. Ensure professional and effective communication is always maintained.
5. Identify and recommend appropriate resolutions to customer queries or failures.
6. Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service.
7. Comply with all H & S procedures and highlight any discrepancies to the Line Manager.
8. Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunities.
