Job Opportunity: Domestic Gas Engineer (Southend)

Example Recruitment Group are proud to be working with a well-established national heating contractor specialising in the local authority sector. We are currently seeking a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to cover the Southend on Sea area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within domestic social housing properties on a Housing Association contract.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR)
2. Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems
3. Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care
4. Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 2 years' experience with gas qualifications
2. Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, as well as strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills
3. In-date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1
4. Full UK driving licence
5. No unspent criminal convictions (DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment)
Salary & Benefits:
1. 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
2. Overtime paid at time-and-a-half, door-to-door
3. Additional overtime and weekend work available at enhanced rates
4. Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided
5. Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum
6. Monthly performance-related bonus up to £200
7. Out-of-hours call-out rota (1 week in 4) paid £400 in summer and £600 in winter guaranteeing an additional £7,000 per year on top of salary
8. OTE £45,000+ per annum
9. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
