About The Role
You will work closely with colleagues in Development and Alumni Engagement and across the University, to support the planning and delivery of events that enable mutually beneficial relationships with alumni, prospects and donors.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a range of engagement events across multiple channels, including in person, online and hybrid events.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
You have experience of contributing to the planning and delivery of innovative and engaging events, and a clear passion for curating the right atmosphere to maximise engagement.
You are thoughtful of the attendee experience and your attention to detail means that you maximise every area of an event. Your excellent communication skills allow you to work successfully alongside a variety of internal and external stakeholders, from students through to the University Executive board. You can problem solve quickly and effectively.
* Proven experience of event management
* Proven experience of using software such as BBCRM, Raisers Edge, EventBrite, Graduway
* Experience of handling sensitive and confidential information with an understanding and knowledge of GDPR
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to balance competing priorities, working quickly and accurately under pressure to meet tight deadlines
* Demonstrable ability to work independently, to be proactive, use initiative and to apply knowledge flexibly in a range of solutions
* Well-developed organisational skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail, and excellent written English
* Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills, the ability to liaise and work effectively across teams and with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external
* Good negotiating skills
* Flexibility and the willingness to work outside of usual office hours to support alumni engagement and donor events, as required
* Budget handling (desirable)
* Proven experience of using a CMS (desirable)
