Product Developer – High Street - Wanted
Location: Manchester – office based

With this expansion comes the hire of a new Product Developer to join their dynamic and innovative team! They are looking for a Product Developer with a passion for transforming creative ideas into high-quality, high street ready products. This is the perfect opportunity for you.
The client prides themselves on designing and producing high street fashion that is trend-led, commercial, and has a huge amount of repeat business. As they continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented Product Developer to work closely with the design, production, and sourcing teams to bring our product to life for the high street retailers they provide for.
DUTIES:
1. Attend customer meetings, help to take design and order briefs, and discuss any issues that may arise with the Buyer, Account Manager, and Technical Team.
2. Work alongside the account manager for timely approvals in line with the critical path.
3. Review the customer packs sent by the customer and create a range planner.
4. Request any missing information from the customer.
5. Brief the packs along with the size specs, testing requirements, packaging, and range planner to our factory, highlighting sample requirements, date required, and request prices.
6. Check the samples tracker and ensure that the samples are on track.
7. Check lab dips on receipt and send to the customer, chase in the comments.
8. Check all submissions are as per the tech pack once received, review with key stakeholders, and submit to the customer, chase in comments.
9. Work with the tech team to ensure submissions are in tolerance.
MUST HAVE TO BE SHORTLISTED:
1. Previous and recent experience in fashion product development across Menswear at either a Menswear high street supplier or Menswear high street retailer.
2. Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes.
3. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with suppliers.
5. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, or similar tools is a plus.
6. Commutable to Manchester town centre and eligible to work in the UK.
