Service Technician – mtu rail engines

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Service Technician to join Rolls-Royce Power Systems at the depot in Stoke Gifford.
In this role, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on mtu rail products to the standard specified in the approved manuals and in accordance with the requirements of the contracts. You will also embrace digitalisation.

What you will be doing:
In this interesting role, you will:
1. Perform preventative, scheduled maintenance and/or corrective maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule, manuals and contract.
2. Actively participate in the ongoing continuous improvement activities for both maintenance and procedures. Make new suggestions for improvements.
3. Attend meetings with the Customer to obtain sign off for work that has been carried out on the customers equipment.
4. Undertake fault finding and repair using appropriate technical information such as technical drawings and fault-finding guides.
5. Completion of relevant documentation for all work carried out.
6. Proactive involvement in the Company’s HSQE management processes. Maintain cleanliness of the onsite facilities.
7. Attend local and factory training courses when necessary to ensure skills remain current.
8. Work as a mobile engineer if required - a van will be provided and at times you may be required to cover work in another depot.
