Role: Event Management Team Lead

Contract Length: 18 months
Location: Reading, West Berkshire - hybrid
We are looking for an Event Management Team Lead to oversee contract management plans, provide governance data, and ensure effective supplier relationships. The role involves monitoring contract performance, implementing corrective actions, and escalating issues as needed to maintain programme delivery. Knowledge of PCR 2015 and PA 2023 is required.
Key requirements include experience in tendering, procurement strategies, supply chain management, and contract performance monitoring. The candidate should have stakeholder management skills, be able to train staff on processes, and act as a point of contact for escalations. Familiarity with JAGGAER or Ariba is desirable.
Key accountabilities:
Management of contract performance, quality, cost, KPIs (key performance indicators) and supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery.
Preparation of Procurement Strategies and Contract Recommendations to support the development and implementation of effective of make/buy and strategic sourcing decisions.
Day to day buying activities, forging close working relationships with key stakeholders to promote early supply chain engagement, ensuring that the schedules and demand are understood and met and issues are dealt with promptly.
Report existing and known future demand schedules, specifications and risks to ensure the procurement strategy, category strategy and supplier management plans align with business needs.
Key requirements:
Experience of end-to-end tendering process
Understanding of training, and manual creation
Knowledge of PCR 2015 and PA 2023
Stakeholder and supply chain management
Knowledge of procurement strategies and contract management
Ability to monitor, mentor, and train staff
Familiarity with JAGGAER or Ariba systems (desirable).
