CCG Group is one of Scotland’s largest, privately owned construction and manufacturing companies and we seek a candidate to undertake an industry-recognised traineeship in our busy Buying Department based at our company HQ in Cambuslang.

This opportunity will involve working across the extent of our business, supporting new build construction projects and maintenance and renewals contracts to occupied housing across the Central Belt.
Salary: Exceeds National Minimum Wage
Hours: Full time, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm (Friday 4.00pm) with flexible working hours
Location: CCG Scotland Ltd, 1 Cambuslang Road, Cambuslang, Investment Park, Glasgow, G32 8NB (this is not a working-from-home or hybrid-working role)
The Role
The successful candidate will be working alongside our Buyers covering a broad spectrum of different project types and construction activities, all to optimise purchasing benefits. These projects can range anywhere from £100,000 to £15 million. Responsibilities include:
* Process requisitions and raise orders where appropriate
* Maintain and monitor supplier records and update where necessary
* Assist the Buying department with purchasing sundry material
Skills
* Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
* Good work ethic and attention to detail
* Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
