We are seeking a Senior Client Accounts Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth and success of our firm. This position offers the flexibility to work from home. Periodic in-office presence is required for monthly team meetings, events, and training opportunities. The position can be based in the Firm’s operation center in Brandon, FL (Tampa Bay area) or one of the Firm’s practice offices in Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Houston, Nashville, Orlando, Philadelphia, Stamford, Tampa, or Tysons.
The right individual for this role will work with Holland & Knight’s Billing Attorneys and assistants, as a liaison with clients, for the purpose of resolving client non-payment issues to improve collection realization. In addition, the individual will work with the Client Accounts Coordinators and Manager, as well as the Financial Applications Trainer, to assist with the training of staff.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Communicate and interact with attorneys, assistants, and clients.
2. Respond to collection related requests quickly, effectively, and accurately.
3. Responsible for an attorney assignment of those attorneys in leadership and with high dollar inventory.
4. Manage assigned attorneys’ inventory, specifically monitoring and resolving aged invoices, credit balances, and aged unbilled work.
5. Handle all aspects of client outreach (via email, phone, and/or mail) to resolve non-payment issues.
6. Answer and manage daily collection inquiries from attorneys, assistants, and staff.
7. Assist with the training of new hires in conjunction with the Client Accounts Coordinators, Client Accounts Manager, and Financial Applications Trainer.
8. Communicate and report to leadership on delinquent collections and at risk inventory.
9. Participate in collaboration sessions for process improvement.
Qualifications:
1. 5-7 years of work in a professional environment or 2-3 years of work as a Client Accounts Specialist.
2. Must be self-motivated and possess a high level of professionalism.
3. Demonstrated ability to work professionally and cooperatively with peers and management.
4. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to use good judgment.
7. Excellent computer skills.
8. Proficient knowledge of accounting functions.
9. Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
Minimum Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree preferred but may be substituted for relevant work experience.
