Job Summary
A unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive, motivated and passionate individual to join the Department of Cellular Pathology working as a Quality Team Associate.
The post holder will provide administration support to Quality, H&S and HTA working groups.
The position is primarily based at St James's Hospital but there may be a requirement for cross site cover to meet service demands.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to forge and maintain relationships. The ability to manage and prioritise a large and varied workload, quickly find solutions and to focus on critical issues when decision making are all essential.
Ideally, the candidate should possess excellent time management and organisational skills and familiarity with IT systems.
Knowledge of Quality management systems and accreditation body requirements would be advantageous.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Provide administration support to Quality, H&S and HTA working groups.
2. Be the main point of contact for all Health & Safety, Quality and Compliance related issues for the team.
3. Link between the site and the Organisational Health & Safety team and attend various audits to provide assurance against relevant requirements.
4. Help to embed quality systems and processes within all departmental lab sections at all hospital sites.
5. Participate in activities relating to HTA licensing, including managing licensing queries and requests for information from stakeholders.
6. Input, extract and collate regulatory data to inform internal regulatory processes including inspection preparation and licence management.
7. Deliver day-to-day training in audit and other quality management functions to other staff.
8. Assist with the delivery of a risk management programme.
9. Support with investigations into incidents and other forms of nonconformity.
10. Develop expertise in database management and maintain a range of databases to support effective governance processes.
11. Apply data manipulation and processing skills to obtain information that informs departmental performance indicators.
12. Develop skills in the implementation of LEAN improvement methodology.
