Key Responsibilities
Performance & Operations
We are looking for a production supervisor to join our busy production facility in Lichfield. The role will involve as follows:
* Ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
* Monitor shift performance and report accurate data.
* Manage resources effectively to meet production targets.
* Address and resolve production issues promptly.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.
* Conduct audits and ensure adherence to standardised work processes.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
* Promote and enforce company health and safety policies.
* Take appropriate actions for non-compliance.
* Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and policies.
People Management
* Maintain a strong floor presence with daily team engagement.
* Plan and allocate workforce effectively.
* Coach and support team members to enhance performance.
* Manage absenteeism and ensure payroll deadlines are met.
* Enforce company policies, including working hours and break times.
Team Development
* Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
* Develop training plans to enhance team skills and autonomy.
* Conduct annual performance reviews.
* Recognise and reward individual performance.
* Facilitate effective communication within the team through regular meetings.
Teamwork & Communication
* Ensure seamless handovers and information flow between shifts.
* Arrive early to coordinate with the previous shift.
* Collaborate with other supervisors to improve overall performance.
* Report on key achievements, challenges, and action plans.
Job Details
* Salary: Very competitive
* Holidays: 25 days + 8 bank holidays
* Pension: Starting at 3%
* Shift Pattern (Monday to Friday):
o Mon-Thurs:
+ AM: 06:00 – 14:15
+ PM: 14:00 – 22:15
+ Nights: 22:00 – 06:15
o Friday:
+ AM: 06:00 – 13:15
+ PM: 13:00 – 20:15
+ Nights: 20:00 – 03:15
Person Specification
Experience & Skills:
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage resources effectively and drive performance improvements.
* Basic understanding of health & safety regulations and quality management.
