We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join this mechanical contractor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of domestic & commercial plumbing systems and be able to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on various plumbing fixtures and systems. This role requires a hands-on approach, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The work consists of shopfitting, care home extensions, sports pavilions, day centres and activity centres. We require a well-versed Plumber who is comfortable with both domestic and commercial projects. Applicants must be willing to work away on a regular basis.
Duties
1. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties.
2. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete plumbing tasks.
3. Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or necessary repairs.
4. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project completion.
5. Progress into a supervisor role.
6. Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
7. Be willing to work away on a weekly basis with hotels and meal allowance paid for by the company.
Experience
1. Proven experience as a Plumber/Pipefitter or Commercial Plumber.
2. Familiarity with mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
3. A valid driving licence.
4. Shopfitting/Healthcare/Leisure experience will be an advantage but not essential.
