About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team within the social housing sector. The role involves overseeing cost management for various housing maintenance contracts, ensuring projects are completed within budget, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor costs for reactive maintenance projects in the social housing sector.
Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender documentation.
Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure projects are on track.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve any issues.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Produce accurate financial reports and manage budgets effectively.
Provide advice on cost-saving strategies and value engineering.
Handle contract negotiations and agreement terms with clients and contractors.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the social housing or reactive maintenance sectors.
Strong knowledge of cost management and tendering processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Full driving license is preferred.
