Job responsibilities
1. Liaise on a daily basis with nurse in charge.
2. Manage patient records including: requesting notes from medical records; tracking notes from the ward; answering medical record requests.
3. Answer incoming calls and either deal with enquiries or divert calls.
4. Book patient transport for outpatient appointments and treatment.
5. Use the EPR system to book appointments, enter demographics, admit and discharge patients.
6. Prepare notes and other relevant documentation for transfer with the patient to the wards as required, tracking using EPR.
7. Support nursing and medical staff as required.
8. Ensure the ward area is kept well stocked with stationery, and photocopying as required.
9. Liaise with the facilities department on behalf of staff, logging maintenance requests.
