Ideally you would be an innovative, and proactive individual, provide world-class clinical leadership and care across our Community Mental Health Teams, in this exciting and flexible way. Successful applicants will be General Adult Community Psychiatrists and hold this job description but will deliver services and work up to 100% remotely from the service itself. This allows for the consultant to live anywhere in the UK (including some time overseas, subject to meeting the relevant IG and HMRC criteria) and work flexibly and productively to meet service and their own personal needs. You will have the roles of every other consultant. You'll be fully supported in working remotely with the supporting equipment and technology. Record keeping, administration and prescribing is all electronic in nature using established software packages that are likely to be familiar to you already. (MS Teams, Attend Anywhere) Your multidisciplinary peers are available remotely. Each of the community teams are unique due to their geography and patient demographics. Caseloads may vary based on referral numbers and severity of presentation. Our target is to provide excellent care in the community with MDT support, and direct working with GPs. Peer consultants in the team are already in post to see patients face to face who are unable or prefer not to receive care remotely.
