This is a permanent role, available on both full-time and part-time bases, with a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Community Specialist Outreach Stop Smoking Advisor who will motivate and support our clients in achieving their goal to stop smoking. The Outreach Stop Smoking Advisor will deliver a client-led smoking cessation treatment plan via one-to-one, drop or group sessions depending on the needs of the client, and monitor outcomes of treatment programmes for their effectiveness. To deliver and engage Outreach work to the priority groups e.g.: people living in deprived areas, adults in routine and manual occupation, adults who never worked or are long-term unemployed, and social housing. We are looking for a dedicated, organised, and reliable individual with a ‘can do’ attitude, and a real determination to succeed with a solutions-focused outlook and can listen and work with people in a variety of situations. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. An exceptional, communicator; a natural relationship builder, can prioritise time and workload effectively. Make a positive impact on local communities to develop and implement new ideas of engagement to the stop smoking programme. The work will be crucial in addressing health inequalities within the community and have a superb track record of working with vulnerable groups who may sometimes struggle to access good quality healthcare services. This role involves outreach activities across the borough, and occasional travel to our Head Office as required. Main Duties & Responsibilities Explain to clients the principles of Stop Smoking Services so that they can make an informed choice to stop smoking. Able to create and manage a database of new and existing community groups. An outgoing personality with the ability to engage confidently and effectively with a vast spectrum of individuals and interest groups. Continue and build new partnerships with existing and new stakeholders. Outreach work in targeted areas to meet service KPIs. Motivate and empower clients to make behaviour changes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Use your excellent communication skills to educate, influence and motivate others. Commitment to addressing healthcare inequalities and successfully reaching out to vulnerable groups within the community, which could include people recovering from addictions, young parents, areas of deprivation and more. Devise and deliver a client-led treatment plan in concordance with national and local guidelines, effectively and professionally dealing with the issue of the quit attempt until it is resolved. This will include CO monitoring, the completion of accurate data to comply with NICE guidelines, and a comprehensive account of weekly interventions. Plan and organise workload, this will include the management of a caseload. Deliver one-to-one, face-to-face clinics, which will have an emphasis on supporting clients from local communities. These may be face-to-face or drop-in sessions. Actively participate in promotional events which may include weekend and evening working.
