About the role: In the role of a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be essential in uplifting students with special educational needs, guaranteeing they benefit from a tailored and inclusive educational experience. Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to students with SEN. Work closely with classroom Teaching Assistants to create an inclusive learning environment. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed. Provide support and guidance to Teaching Assistants and other staff working with SEN students. Communicate regularly with parents and carers about student progress and needs. Stay informed about current best practices and developments in special education. Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with SEN students or relevant training in special education is preferred. A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field. Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students. Understanding of various SEN conditions. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
